The community in Sekamuli consists mainly of subsistence farmers who traditionally depend on coffee as a cash crop. The reliability of the sale of coffee in Uganda is now dubious and there is a need for a general improvement in the quality of staple crops and for the introduction of nutritional crops.

Overall crop and animal husbandry needs to be addressed plus awareness of drought resistant crops that are becoming necessary as a result of climate change.

We aim to work with an agricultural expert or organisation who can develop this side and help the local economy.
