Malaria

  • Progressive completion of ”model homes” upgraded to a health standard appropriate for  reducing Malaria and other common diseases
  • Distribution of mosquito nets to families who will have met the “model home” standard


  • Agriculture Projects

  • The expansion of the Pig breeding programme for widows and the elderly
  • The expansion of the coffee growing project (mother garden and demonstration garden)
  • The expansion of the fruit growing project
  • A Tree planting programme (positive contribution to Carbon storage and replenishment of de-forested areas used inefficiently for agricultural purposes)


  • Water

  • At least one new borehole in one of the 3 final villages


  • Training

  • Continued Training of village Water committees.
  • On-going training of CHWs
  • One day workshops for Traditional Birth Attendants on the principles of the programme.
  • Training of Steering Committee and Standing Committee


  • Medical

  • Complete equipping the Sekamuli Health Centre Maternity wing and equipping Laboratory.


  • Education

  • Educate students in primary and secondary school in Life Skills (the principles of the programme as it affects personal, family and community health, personal responsibility, self- respect and morals).
  • Adult literacy classes for the Community Health Workers.
  • The building of a “permanent two block classroom for Mputte Primary School.

  • Identifying and employing a programme coordinator and 2 further Field Workers.
  • Two possible visits group visits from Europe
