The Healthy Vine Trust has been formed as part of the Luweero Twinning

The Healthy Vine will undertake community programmes which after sensitisation, training and guidance will be sustainable and under community ownership and control. The I-AMP+ programme has been established under this philosophy.

I = Irene the person who inspired this specific programme.

AMP = Anti Malaria Programme

+ = Many activities to make it a sustainable community programme such as: family health and hygiene, available community water supply, a community clinic, literacy, agriculture and literacy


Model Dwelling

A Model Home is the family dwelling that includes:
- a properly constructed latrine,
- hand washing,
- an enclosed place for bathing,
- a kitchen hut with a clay stove and chimney,
- racks for utensils,
- organic and inorganic rubbish pits,
- properly constructed animal enclosures, The family compound is swept clean, free from foliage and rubbish. Where water is used, an effective soak away is situated.
